We are seeking a Composite Design Engineer to join a leading Motorsport and Formula 1 Manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing composite structures and components for specific applications. This role demands a strong understanding of composite materials, excellent CAD skills (Catia V5), and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop composite structures and components using CATIA V5.
* Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for composite parts.
* Perform structural analysis and simulations to validate design integrity.
* Collaborate with analysis engineers to interpret results and refine designs.
* Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and test plans.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of composite designs.
* Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production phase.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in composite materials and manufacturing techniques.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
* Master’s degree or professional certifications in composites design is a plus.
* Experience:
* Proficiency in using CATIA V5 for composite design is essential.
* Experience with composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
