Freelance Quality Assurance Manager

g2 are currently working with a leading energy company near Stuttgart, constructing a new gas power plant. The project is scheduled to start in March 2025.

This project gives you the chance to be at the forefront of Germany's expanding H2-ready plants.

Our client is now in a strong position with their new contract and is looking to bring on specialised contractors to assist the team with the newly planned gas power plant near Stuttgart.

Day to Day duties:

  • Performs quality inspections in accordance with program quality assurance documentation. Participate and guide project quality assurance from start to end of project.
  • Provides oversight of the implementation of the QA management system at site.
  • Coordinates the quality inspections with the site sub-contractors and the quality control team to ensure specifications are met.
  • Provides oversight in the distribution of relevant QA documentation to the team while ensuring that the documentation is stored correctly.
  • Verifies that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the design documents and program standards.
  • Participates in the internal and external site audits.
  • Provide review and reporting of all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action. Monitors the implementation of the approved site QA Plan.
  • Coordinates with the Client and any contractors on all quality issues.
  • Assures all technical documents relative to site quality control are of status.

Essential Requirements:

  • Has 7 years' QA experience.
  • Significant experience with the energy industry
  • Has a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
  • Has Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Auditor,
  • Is experienced with ISO 9001 certification process.
  • Can work seamlessly across functional, department lines and across the sites.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
