Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently working with a client in the Rotterdam region that are in URGENT need of a Mechanical Design Engineer (Freelance). The client is particularly interested in candidates with experience in AUTOCAD and Autodesk Inventor to help with designs for the shipbuilding industry.

The client is specifically looking for a candidate who has previous experience in working within the maritime or naval industry, but can also consider candidates who have designed vessels for offshore oil & gas / wind.

START: ASAP (Needed by Feb)

Location: Netherlands, Rotterdam

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Work Pattern: Flexible home/office working (Upon Negotiation)

Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor / Autocad.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Previous experience in the Offshore, maritime or Naval Industry
  • Engineering, design or rendering experience within shipbuilding.
  • General knowledge of large vessel regulations

The client is specifically working on shipbuilding projects, for this position you will be involved from first initial concept designs to detailed engineering over the next year. For the projects you will be designing using AUTOCAD 2D and 3D and Autodesk Inventor making sure that the designs and calculations are tailored to the clients demands.

The client has advised that they would be happy to have candidates based in the Netherlands already or would be prepared to move to the Netherlands.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
