This large-scale project involves the construction of a state-of-the-art converter station as part of the Baldwin 4 and Lanwin 1 projects. The development will play a crucial role in advancing the energy infrastructure in Germany, ensuring the transition to renewable energy sources and improving grid stability. The project is valued at over €1.5 billion and is based in the Lower Saxony region.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Document Manager to join the Baldwin 4 and Lanwin 1 project team. The Document Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the management of project documentation, ensuring that all records are accurate, organised, and compliant with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This is a freelance position for a three-year contract with the possibility of extension based on project progress and needs. The role requires fluency in both German and English to liaise effectively with international teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Control and Management:

  • Oversee the organisation, storage, and management of all project documents, including technical drawings, contracts, correspondence, reports, and permits.
  • Implement and maintain document control processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accessible to authorised personnel and project teams, maintaining version control and tracking changes.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of necessary documentation.
  • Ensure the smooth flow of communication regarding document updates, approvals, and revisions across different departments and project phases.
  • Act as a point of contact for external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies regarding document submissions and approvals.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure that all documents comply with relevant local regulations and industry standards, particularly in the context of construction and energy infrastructure.
  • Regularly review and audit documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
