Job Description
This role is a 100% site based in Wesseling in Germany and requires Fluent knowledge in oral and written German and good understanding of spoken English language and is open to self-employed candidates with the existing right to work in Germany.
Reporting to the Quality Lead, responsible for the inspection, monitoring and sign-off of construction activities undertaken by Contractors to ensure work produced meets the Project Quality requirements.
Specific
- Oversea the daily Mechanical and Piping construction activities are within the Project codes, standards, and specifications.
- Provide coordination, direction, and support for Site Quality requirements to the Construction Management Team, Contractors, Vendors and Client.
- Resolve Site Mechanical and Piping Quality issues.
- Approve incoming mechanical and piping materials and equipment by confirming specifications, conducting visual and dimensional checks, and ensuring quality paperwork is in place and completed, including submission of documents to the Completions Management System.
- Participate in Inspection and Test Plan inspections and ensure completion results are submitted to the Completions Management System.
- Review and acceptance of equipment, material, weld fit up, welding, and NDT inspection records.
- To support the preparation of Project Quality records and their submission into the Completions Management System.
- To support the Project HSSE Programmes and to ensure that HSSE activities are performed and that HSSE goals , objectives and targets are met.
- Monitor Contractor / Vendor performance and ensure that Quality Control goals, objectives and targets are met.
Deputising for the Quality Lead as required.
General
- Attending construction / Contractor / third party meetings when required to do so.
- Able to consult and communicate with other disciplines and Contractors / Vendor personnel.
- Experienced in the implementation and compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office 365 application specifically: Outlook, Excel. PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word.
- Fluent knowledge in oral and written German and good understanding of spoken English.
Further education Quality level qualification would be preferred but experience and training levels will be considered in conjunction with academic qualifications.
- Quality certification in Welding and / or Non-Destructive Testing.
- Petrochemical, oil and gas industry experience in a Quality role with a proven technical background in Mechanical and Piping.
