Piping Designer

CAD Designer/Draftsman with a mechanical (piping) or structural background to join our client in Bonn, Germany. The role requires candidates who can review 3D models and create 2D layout drawings for production/fabrication.

The client is interested in candidates with a background in design engineering, either practical experience in any engineering sector with 2D layouts, design for fabrication or creating production drawings.

The client is working on energy sector projects, they are fabrication process plants on skid-packages and you would be working with the engineering and design team to create 2D layouts from the 3D models and supporting the fabrication team.

DURATION: 3 Month Rolling

LOCATION: Western Germany, Near Bonn Germany

PAYROLL: Freelance - Local or International payments

Design Engineer - CAD Designer - 2D Drafting - Fabrication Drawings - Skid Packages

Mechanical, Structural or Piping Design/Layout experience

Background in engineering, construction or installation type projects most beneficial

Experience using 2D design software - creating 2D drawings from 3D models

Basic engineering experience, ability to review 2D designs or 3D models

Any experience with 2D/3D design software (Any software considered)

The client is interested in designers who can pull data from a 3D model, create designs (2D), create packages for fabrication, support the fabrication team coordinating between design office and site based fabricators.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
