Site Foreman

We are recruiting for a Ship-Building Supervisor / Site Foreman for a client who specialises in marine work, including shipbuilding, repairs, and retrofitting.

The role is 6 days a week at the site in Wismar, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Germany.

The client can offer you accommodation, transportation, assistance with the necessary documentation and work attire.

The Mission

As a Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems and electrical system in our shipbuilding projects in Wismar, Germany. You'll collaborate with a diverse team to ensure that all piping operations are completed to the highest standards, while adhering to project specifications and marine safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the crews on site.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project management.
  • Inspect and approve completed work to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the piping installation process.
  • Maintain accurate records of the work done and the materials used.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and engineers to ensure the success of the project.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Piping or HVAC or Electrical Supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in the marine industry.
  • Solid knowledge of systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
