Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

g2 is recruiting for a QAQC Engineer with Steel Works & Clean Pipe Systems experience on a complex mechanical project in Kungälv, involving the fabrication, installation, and demolition of steel structures and piping systems. Responsible for upholding quality standards across clean pipe installations and structural works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.

The role is 5 days a week at the site in Kungälv, north of Gothenburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing QA/QC activities for steel fabrication and erection, including weld inspections, material verification, and dimensional checks.
• Managing quality control of clean piping systems, including hygienic welds, surface finish compliance, and traceability in accordance with ASME BPE and project-specific standards.
• Coordinating demolition inspections and ensuring safe removal practices with proper documentation.
• Reviewing and approving WPS/PQRs, material certificates, ITPs, and quality dossiers for all phases of work.
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and client QA representatives to resolve non-conformities and maintain continuous quality compliance.
• Supporting turnover documentation preparation and final handover packages.

Qualifications/Requirements

• English Fluency needed. Swedish would be a plus.
• Quality oversight on both structural and piping scopes.
• Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and traceability.
• Use of standard Microsoft tools for reporting and tracking QA data (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Adhering to client-specific quality plans and industry standards relevant to clean piping and fabrication.
