Adult Social Care – Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner

Job Opportunity - Adult Social Care - Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner / Transformation Accountant - Predominantly Remote

One of my local Government clients are currently on the lookout for a Finance Professional to join their team with a background within Adult Social Care (ASC) Accounting.

The council remain undecided on the best approach to suit their needs but are open to considering Finance Managers, Finance Business Partners & ASC Transformation Accountants to assist with the requirement within their service.

Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner / ASC Transformation Accountant

Contract Length: 9 Months

Pay Rate: DOE

IR35: Inside

Days: Full Time (could also consider part time, minimum 3.5 days p/w)

Start Date: Beginning of March

Hybrid working: X1 day in office per month.

Depending on the avenue that the client decides to go down this role will be inclusive of either of the below key duties:

Finance Business Partner / Finance Manager

  • Dealing with & overseeing the day-to-day financial responsibilities of adult social care.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, writing reports, grant claims, returns etc.
  • Managing a team, supporting and training.

ASC Transformation Accountant

  • Looking at ways to deliver savings within ASC without having negative impacts on the service provided.
  • Being part of the change programme assisting with modelling and assumptions.
  • Supporting financial modelling & cost of options.

Successful candidates will:

  • As a minimum be a part qualified accountant, ideally will be a fully qualified accountant.
  • Have previous local authority experience working within Adult Social Care accounting and performing the duties outlined above within the advert.
  • Be happy travelling to the office on a monthly basis for key meetings etc.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
