I am currently working with a local authority in South West England who are looking for a Arboricultural Officer to hit the ground running in their hard working team,
This is what the job has to offer:
Responsibilities:
* Prepare new tree preservation orders and update old ones as necessary, including conducting surveys, preparing reports, handling objections, and maintaining records efficiently.
* Consider and process notifications for the removal of hedgerows in the open countryside, preparing technical reports as needed.
* Support Planning Enforcement in investigating unauthorised tree works or hedgerow removals.
* Advise on responses to unauthorised works to trees under TPO or within a Conservation Area, and appear as a technical expert at inquiries, hearings, or court cases.
* Prepare reports and present evidence as a technical expert through written representation, at hearings, and at planning inquiries.
* Provide arboricultural advice and expert services independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Logistics:
- 6 month contract
- Rate DOE
- Inside IR35
- Hybrid working (On site once per week)
