About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Technologist to join our growing team in Birmingham. This is a permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, from residential and commercial to mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will be proficient in Revit and bring technical expertise and creativity to our diverse range of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of detailed design and technical drawings using Revit.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure designs meet client requirements, building regulations, and industry standards.
- Provide technical support throughout the design and construction phases, including the preparation of specifications, schedules, and documentation.
- Assist with site surveys and feasibility studies, ensuring the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
- Prepare and maintain project drawings, models, and documentation in Revit.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
- Identify and resolve design and technical issues to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of its capabilities in architectural design and documentation.
- A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, or a similar relevant qualification.
- At least 3-5 years of experience working in an architectural or design environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and construction techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Good understanding of BIM and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest technological developments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar.
- Previous experience working across a variety of project sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and energy-efficient design.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
