Asset Manager/Surveying Technician
I am currently recruiting for a Asset Management Officer/Surveying Technician for a client of mine based on the South Coast. The contract is initially a 3 month role but does have the option to extend. My client is looking to bring someone into the service as soon as possible!
Location: South Coast
Rate: DOE
Contract: 3 months
Key responsibilities:
- Managing an individual caseload of commercial Council property.
- To assist with validation of lease records to help populate a new Asset Management System
- To interrogate our property files / lease and deed records, to validate our leased property records and populate missing information into a spreadsheet for data upload.
- Using knowledge and experience of commercial property management to report on progress, risks and issues within the portfolio.
- Conduct visits to Council owned sites and recording the findings and updating databases accordingly.
- Liaise with the wider Asset Management team.
Essential Criteria:
- Good knowledge of landlord and tenant law.
- Detailed understanding of legal agreements relating to property, i.e leases, way leaves, easements and licences.
- Good understanding of insurance principles and how they might apply to Council properties.
- Experience of using Property Asset Management Systems
- RICS (Desirable)
