Our client are a leading provider of automation solutions, specialising in Machinery manufacturing, integration, and installation of control systems for complex logistics operations.

As part of ongoing expansion, they are searching for an experienced and skilled EPLAN Design Engineer to join their team in London. Your expertise in electrical design, specifically EPLAN, will be vital to the success of the role, as you create comprehensive, accurate control panel designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Design electrical control panels and associated wiring schematics for automation and control systems.
  • Create and modify electrical schematics, layout designs, and documentation using EPLAN (or similar design tools), ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Work closely with project engineers, mechanical engineers, and automation specialists to ensure the design meet requirements.
  • Provide technical support during the construction and installation phases.
  • Ensure designs are compatible with existing systems.
  • Produce clear, accurate documentation for designs, including wiring diagrams, component lists, and specification sheets.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in electrical design and the logistics industry.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing control panels and electrical schematics.
  • Strong working knowledge of EPLAN (or similar CAD design tools) for electrical design.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical control systems, circuit design, panel layouts, and associated electrical components.
  • Industry Standards: Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC, BS, and UL for electrical design.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve design and technical challenges.
  • Certified freelancer.
  • Strong verbal/written English skills.

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
