Engineering Project Manager

Engineering & Projects Manager to a client on a permanent basis in Rotterdam, Botlek region.

The client is looking for a Project & Engineering Manager (Engineering and CAPEX projects) to join them working on both plant expansion, development and operational upgrades, covering management of an on site engineering and projects team.

The client is an asset owner operating a petrochemical and chemical plant based in the Port of Rotterdam, near Botlek. You will join their permanent management team.

START: Q1 2025

SALARY: €90,000 -115,000 per annum + package

LOCATION: Rotterdam, Botlek Region - flexible working

The client is particularly interested in candidates with experience as an Engineering or Projects Manager, covering complex projects in highly regulated industries.

Engineering & Projects Manager

· 5+ years of relevant work experience managing technical or projects teams

· Technical engineering background - all disciplines considered

· Energy, Chemical or Petrochemical working history

· Greenfield or Brownfield projects experience

· Working exp for an EPC or a client operator company (DuPont, Ineos, Worley, Shell, BP etc.)

· English (Must Speak fluently)

· Dutch (Conversational Dutch - B1 + Level)

This is a site based role on an operational plant, based in country (Netherlands, Botlek), you will be working with the site based engineering and projects team, supporting all on site projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Project Engineer, Projects Manager or Engineering Manager who is looking to move into a senior role.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
