Our client is looking for a professional, experienced in both HSE and construction to work on a laboratory retrofit for a yearlong full-time contract. Based in Heidelberg, the role would require someone on-site for the entire project interacting with the top-management team on site including the client and other sub-contractors. To be the ideal candidate you need significant experience of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), ready to write documentation in fluent English, speak English and German to business-level, and have a collaborative personality.
Requirements
- HSE-related or construction-management safety focused degree
- +10 years experience in interior fit outs
- +5 years in works chemical or laboratory interior construction
- 10+ years in construction management and HSE work
- Significant experience in HSE documentation in the English-language (written)
- Ability to speak business-level German
- Significant experience of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
- Collaborative and persuadable personality working with construction professionals for HSE needs
Daily Activities
- Daily documentation of HSE requirements in English including:
- Written Risk Assessments of activities, equipment and plans.
- Writing Method Statements for interior fit out activities.
- Interacting and speaking with sub-contractors in English and German to discuss how their activities align with your HSE responsibilities.
- Work with them to highlight efficient working practices alongside safety needs.
- Regular meetings with the management team consisting of yourself, a construction manager, project manager, and other sub-contractors.
