Freelance Civil Supervisor

Freelance Civil Supervisor - HV Electrical Infrastructure & Civil Projects

Location: Randstad (with regular travel to sites and overnight stays across the Netherlands, including Limburg and Groningen)

Working Arrangement: 40 hours per week (overtime possible, travel time not reimbursed)

Contract Duration: 12 months (ASAP start, notice period up to 30 days acceptable)

We are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee civil and technical infrastructure projects, particularly around HV electrical infrastructure. The role involves on-site supervision of project teams, ensuring smooth coordination with subcontractors, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day on-site operations, overseeing uitvoerders, ground workers, and cable layers.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Act as the primary on-site contact for subcontractors, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and technical requirements.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Travel & Mobility: Regular travel to project sites across the Netherlands is required (must provide own vehicle).

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience minimum in civil technical projects (essential).
  • Previous supervision experience with HV electrical infrastructure projects is highly preferred. Candidates with civil supervision experience in related sectors may also be considered.

Skills and Expertise

  • Strong understanding of civil project supervision, including managing teams, overseeing groundworks, and ensuring technical accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to handle project documentation effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in Dutch, to liaise with clients, contractors, and teams.
