Housing Move On Worker
My client based in East Sussex is looking for 2 Housing Move On Workers to assist them on an initial 3 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients with multiple and complex needs, offering intensive tenancy support.
- Provide practical advice and assistance to prevent rough sleeping recurrence.
- Work collaboratively with the Rough Sleeping Initiative (RSI) team and refer clients to relevant specialists.
- Help clients find and secure suitable housing, including financial support from local authorities and charities.
- Support clients with tenancy start-up and provide tenancy sustainment to prevent homelessness.
- Liaise with landlords, resolve tenancy issues, and negotiate tenancy renewals.
- Complete regular support plans and risk assessments for each client.
- Ensure accurate case file documentation on the RSI database.
- Participate in team reviews and collaborate with local housing options teams.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health and substance misuse.
- Familiarity with homelessness, housing, or social care sectors.
- Knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and housing options.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

- Empathy and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Commitment to professional boundaries and risk management.
- Resilient and able to manage competing priorities.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary.
- IT proficiency for recording accurate information.
