Lead Electrical Engineer

If you have experience leading a team of electrical engineers in the smart automation and machine building industry, g2's client offers an exciting opportunity for you.

A candidate with knowledge of machine building, building standards, and the smart automation process would be an excellent fit for this role.

Role Overview: As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to:

  • Learn the equipment and oversee meetings regarding orders, project updates, and issues.
  • Communicate with suppliers to find better and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Handle emails, address questions about processes, and assist with resource planning.
  • Conduct team evaluations and manage personnel matters.

Position Details:

Start: Q2 2025

Location: Arnhem

Salary: €4,000 - €5,500 gross per month, over 12 months, plus 8% vacation allowance and a profit share based on company performance.

Ideal candidate:

  • HBO or higher education.
  • Knowledge of the machine building industry, along with an understanding of the building standards and processes involved in smart automation.
  • Experience with modular electrical structures is beneficial, as well as familiarity with suppliers like EPLAN.
  • Prior experience in machine automation, processing, and packaging is desirable.
  • English proficiency is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
