Post Cost Controller

Medior/senior level Project Cost Controller to join our client in The Haarlem Region, Netherlands. The client is looking for someone on a permanent basis.

The client requires someone to work on project cost control activities for national or international EPC and CAPEX projects. Ideal experience related to industries within renewable energy, oil & gas, and petrochemical are suitable.

They want a medior/senior level candidate with at least 3 - 10+ years of experience within this field.

Project Controller Specification:

START: November, December or January 2025

LOCATION: The Haarlem area, Netherlands - North of Haarlem

SALARY: €6,000 - €7,400 per month + 8% holiday + 4% performance bonus + 37 day holiday

Essential Skills:

  • Experienced project / cost controller (3+ years) who has previously worked with an end-client or EPC company within the industries of oil & gas, renewables, (petro)chemical, or energy generation.
  • Educational background in either engineering or finance/business - both desired.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP and Excel for cost reporting.
  • Able to perform cost breakdowns, reports and forecasts - budgets handled of at least €1 - €10 million for major projects.
  • Invested in the project they are working on and able to report and present monthly cost reports to relevant management and stakeholders.
  • Fluent English and Dutch (B1/B2) is essential.

Duties:

  • The candidate will be in control of cost related activities using software like Excel and SAP to produce cost reports, purchase orders, and resource costs on a monthly reporting cycle.
  • The candidate will be able to relay the cost reporting cycle to relevant team leaders and management. This role would be a working schedule of 3-4 days in the office and 1-2 days from home.
  • Internal management of stakeholders, cost reporting on projects team, cost controlling and forecasting
