Project Development Manager

Our client - based close to the Hague - is currently looking for a Project Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The client is an end client operator who are looking to develop their own assets which are placed within the power generation sector. Ideal experience will be early phase project development in the Dutch industrial sector.

The client is working on some interesting renewable energy projects, looking for a Project Development Manager who has experience working for the end client operator/asset owner, with specifics experience taking projects from concept through to FID. The client will also be managing the full EPC construction process and asset management after the build.

Salary: €80,000-€180,000 per annum + package

Location: The Randstad, Netherlands

Start: April, May, June 2025 Starts

The client would be interested in any Project Manager who has experience delivering projects from cradle to grave, covering stakeholder management, permitting, budgeting etc. the specific focus will be taking project concepts through to FID.

Essential Skills:

  • Asset owner (client side) Project Manager, Project Development, Project Delivery
  • Working history with national or international clients
  • Experience delivering technical engineering energy projects (power generation, renewable, biogas, onshore wind, chemical, petrochemical exploration etc)
  • Technical engineering or commercial background
  • Ability to manage a project from concept through to FID
  • Stakeholder management - internal and external
  • Commercial acumen - working with senior management team and investment partners
  • Fluent English language skills, Dutch language is highly beneficial

The client have just received a major investment for the development for several projects over the next five years, they are looking for a development biased project manager to assist through the total development phases and push their business forward.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
