About the Company:
Our client is a prominent petrochemical company located in the Port of Rotterdam. Renowned for their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence, they have solidified their position as a key industry player. They are currently seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead and manage large-scale EPC projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion. You will be managing a project portfolio exceeding €1 billion in value, ensuring the successful delivery of all projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Project Management: Oversee all phases of project development, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Freelancer Management: Exhibit experience in hiring and managing Freelancers (ZZPers), ensuring their effective integration into project teams.
- Budget Management: Assume full ownership of the project budget, ensuring financial objectives are achieved and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to industry regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, financial, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not necessary.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the petrochemical or similar heavy industry.
Skills:
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Extensive experience in hiring and managing Freelancers (ZZPers).
- Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of the budget.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
