Safety Engineer

g2 Recruitment is looking for a Safety Engineer to join a large food production client of mine in the Charleroi region.

The client is looking for a Safety Engineer to assist on a part time basis for the next 12 months to assist with a current increase in Workload, you would be part of the sites HSE team working to increase the Safety culture on site and increase safety during the Day-to-Day operations on site.

Some main tasks include conducting Risk assessments on food production lines as well as increasing Safety culture with current workers.

START: November/December

LOCATION: Charleroi, Belgium

CONTRACT LENGTH 12 months

HOURS:20-25 hours a week

Safety Engineer - Food Production Charleroi

Specification:

  • At least 5 years' experience within HSE
  • French Fluency
  • Preventieadviseur level 2 minimum or Equivalent
  • Experience working as part of an internal HSE team
  • Experience within a production environment, Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemical etc.
  • A motivation to drive good safety practice.
  • A people person, positive and motivational with workers

The requirement for the role is to assist in internal HSEQ projects - training, Programmes and procedures to roll out, conduct risk assessments and Incident investigations on site whilst also increasing safety culture.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
