Senior Care and Housing Support Officer
Senior Care and Housing Support Officer - 3 month contract (likely extension) - West Midlands - Rate DOE
A close client of mine is looking to bring in a Senior Care and Support Officer for the course of 3 months initially but high likely potential for extension.
They are looking for someone on a 30 hours working week with a standard working pattern including the requirement to work weekends and Bank Holidays in line with associated rota you may also be required to work through the night on occasion.
Job Summary:
- To promote a service that meets the needs of those people who use our service.
- To enable people who use our service to access services appropriate to their needs whilst maximising independence.
- To assist in the delivery of a flexible and supportive care and housing support service by.
- Providing support to front line care staff through on the job observational supervision.
- Providing management cover in the absence of the Extra Care Managers/Support Team manager where required.
- Working as part of a team to provide a quality care and housing support service in line with CQC essential standards of quality and safety to individuals living independently with in their own home within an Extra Care facility.
- Contributing to the provision of housing management and tenancy support tasks pertaining to the individual support
- provided to people who use our service which enables them to maintain all aspects of their tenancies.
Your current duties and responsibilities are:
1.Empower individuals who use the services to be as independent as possible and maximise their potential
2. Contribute to the protection and safeguarding of people who use our service by contributing to minimising the level of abuse in care environments. Minimise the effects of abusive behaviour. Contribute to monitoring individuals who are at risk from abuse. To report any concern or suspicion or allegation of neglect or harm.
3. To maintain accurate records in accordance with the service standards.
4. Duties of a Senior Care and Housing Support Officer will include:
- Providing management cover for the services in the absence of the Extra Care Manager or Team Support Manager.
- Supporting individuals with the development of person-centred Care and Support plans.
