Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler/Planner to join our team in the renewable energy sector. This role is integral to the successful execution of complex, large-scale projects, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery within the renewable energy landscape. The Senior Scheduler/Planner will develop, manage, and optimise project schedules, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the global energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define scope, milestones, and deliverables for renewable energy projects.
- Analyse and optimise project timelines, ensuring alignment with cost and resource plans.
- Conduct critical path and earned value analysis to identify risks, delays, and potential bottlenecks.
- Prepare detailed reports, including progress updates, variance analyses, and forecasts, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to track deliverables and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Establish and maintain scheduling standards and processes to improve project execution efficiency.
- Support contract management by providing schedule-related inputs for claims and changes.
- Participate in project meetings, providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 6 years in project scheduling/planning within the renewable energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other scheduling tools. Advanced skills in MS Excel and familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (required); proficiency in other languages, especially German, is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication, and teamwork.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with large-scale renewable energy projects, such as offshore wind farms, solar parks, or hydrogen initiatives.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in renewable energy project scheduling.
- A proven track record of successfully managing complex, multidisciplinary schedules.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
Location
Based on project requirements, the role may involve a combination of office-based work and travel to project sites. Hybrid work arrangements are available depending on location and project needs.
