Site Foreman
We are recruiting for a Ship-Building Supervisor / Site Foreman for a client who specialises in marine work, including shipbuilding, repairs, and retrofitting.
The role is 6 days a week at the site in Wismar, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Germany.
The client can offer you accommodation, transportation, assistance with the necessary documentation and work attire.
The Mission
As a Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems and electrical system in our shipbuilding projects in Wismar, Germany. You'll collaborate with a diverse team to ensure that all piping operations are completed to the highest standards, while adhering to project specifications and marine safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the crews on site.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project management.
- Inspect and approve completed work to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the piping installation process.
- Maintain accurate records of the work done and the materials used.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and engineers to ensure the success of the project.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Piping or HVAC or Electrical Supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in the marine industry.
- Solid knowledge of systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
