Role Overview:

A client who is an international expert of construction projects globally in industries developing and selling our plants worldwide in industries such as cement & aggregates, recycling and mining. is looking for a candidate to take on this role in the Dominican Republic. They are looking for a passionate Site-Manager on a freelance basis who has experience in the cement, mining, crushing and screening industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical and timely implementation of contractual services on global construction sites.
  • Serve as the interface between clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate all trades on-site with a hands-on approach.
  • Provide technical leadership and directives to suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify, report, and manage project deviations early on.
  • Create detailed site documentation and reports for project management.
  • Coordinate commissioning and assist in preparing performance and customer acceptance tests.
  • Contribute to lessons learned from on-site experiences.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements:

  • Master craftsman, technician, or engineer in mechanical/plant engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Manager in plant engineering for projects exceeding €5 million.
  • Leadership capabilities in an international team environment.
  • Strong skills in conflict resolution and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive working style.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, NavisWorks, and standard MS Office tools.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages such as German, or French is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel extensively internationally.
  • Knowledge in areas like civil & steel construction, mechanical erection, conveyor systems, crushing and screening, electrical/automation systems, and other relevant systems is beneficial.

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
