About the role:

Our client is looking for a Freelance Site Manager to join a large-scale infrastructure project focuses on the refurbishment and transformation of large-scale Heat and Power Plant in Germany. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the leading clients in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities:

o Project Oversight: Manage daily operations on-site, ensuring the efficient execution of power plant refurbishment activities, including mechanical, structural, and piping works, in line with project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.

o Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and labour teams, ensuring all refurbishment activities align with engineering plans and compliance requirements.

o Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality checks on piping, structural, and mechanical works, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, technical specifications, and safety protocols.

o Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and scheduling of materials, equipment, and workforce to maintain project efficiency while controlling costs and minimising delays.

o Health & Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with all occupational safety regulations during refurbishment activities.

What we require from you:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills to oversee multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and keep the project on track.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage subcontractors, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Quick thinking and adaptability to resolve on-site issues, ensure smooth operations, and address any unexpected challenges.
  • Piping Experience
  • Previous experience working as a Site Manager on Power Plant projects
  • Fluent in German

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant.
